Are you: in Pittsburgh? into craft beer? also into fun drinks from craft distilleries? up for riding a bike (or hailing a bunch of Ubers)? Then you're in luck! The Allegheny River has exploded with more than a dozen local craft breweries and distilleries. Grab a ride and get on the Libation Trail! You can make your own trail, go as far as you're comfortable and stop in at dozens of local bars and restaurants along the way to refuel.

Down in the Strip District, this is a must for anyone looking to add some cocktails to their tour. Maggie's has excellent rum - especially the spiced rum - and makes some tasty tiki drinks. Look for the Harry Nilsson.

Located in Upper Lawrenceville, the Wild Side Pub is the urban location for this Versailles brewery. Great beers - very experimental! Look for the Chinookie En Fuego for something spicy!

Also located in Upper Lawrenceville, Roundabout has a few picnic tables outside to enjoy some sunshine. They have great beer and always some special releases available. Look for the Pacific Ring IPA.

For something different in Lawrenceville, head over to the Arsenal Cider House. These ciders are excellent. A nice change of pace from all the craft beer. Look for the Fighting Elleck.

If you're heading to Millvale on a longer libation trail, you'll find two excellent breweries. Draai Laag has a heavy Belgian influence in a lot of its beers. Look for the Relic.

Get on your Saddle with a Healthy Ride

Wherever you're starting from in Pittsburgh, you can use a Healthy Ride bike to get around. These bikes are nice and easy to ride for just about anyone. They are about $5 per hour and you can park them all over the city when you're done.
